SLQS-UAE Digital Membership Card launched on 19th August 2023

SLQS-UAE is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the initial phase of issuing Digital Membership cards to Sri Lankan Quantity Surveyors in the UAE. A total of 467 digital Membership Cards will be distributed to our esteemed members by the end of this month. This marks a significant milestone as it is the first time in SLQS-UAE's history that members will possess an official membership card. Notably, this card is accompanied by a personalized QR code, which holds future utility as SLQS-UAE adapts its operations to evolving market dynamics.

Members are strongly advised to safeguard their Digital Membership card, as it holds lifetime validity. The inauguration of this achievement saw the presentation of the inaugural Digital Membership Card to the eminent Quantity Surveyor, Professor Indrawansa Samaratunga, on 19th August 2023. The event was captured in photographs, and the professor commemorated the occasion with insightful words. A video capturing this historic moment will soon be shared across SLQS-UAE's social media platforms.

Acknowledging that the Sri Lankan Quantity Surveyor community in the UAE exceeds the current 467 members, there are certain prerequisites to fulfill in order to issue the remaining Digital Membership cards:

• Members who have previously been assigned a membership number need to complete the Google Form, circulated by SLQS-UAE some months ago, indicating their current status. • For SLQSs who are new to the UAE and have not yet been granted SLQS-UAE membership, we invite you to fill out the online membership application available on the SLQS-UAE website: www.slqsuae.org/membership-application/ Following submission, we will proceed with issuing your digital membership card.
  It's crucial for all SLQS members in the UAE to secure their digital membership cards, as they will be mandatory for participation in all forthcoming SLQS-UAE events. Your proactive engagement ensures that you stay connected and informed within our dynamic community.
