Elevating Excellence: SLQS-UAE Empowers Sri Lankan Quantity Surveyors for RICS and AIQS Recognition

SLQS-UAE is committed to supporting Sri Lankan Quantity Surveyors worldwide in achieving their professional goals of becoming members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MAIQS).

Our comprehensive training program is conducted biannually in parallel with RICS and AIQS final APC sessions, and the results of the last three sessions have been remarkable. We have observed a significant improvement, with a 74% success rate in MRICS and a 100% success rate in AIQS.

The program includes in-depth training on all competencies, followed by comprehensive Q&A sessions and personalized mock interviews. We extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated team of over 50 Chartered Sri Lankan Quantity Surveyors who volunteer their expertise to make these programs successful. Their selfless dedication to assisting fellow Sri Lankans in achieving their professional dreams is truly commendable.

We express gratitude to the RICS-MENA team for their invaluable support, which has enriched our programs. Looking ahead, we anticipate further collaboration with RICS in future APC sessions, along with continued appreciation for AIQS's support in strengthening our APC program.

What’s happening now?

Our Winter program is ongoing, and we are planning to finish competencies and Q&A related CPD sessions and mock interviews by the end of April 2024, targeting upcoming RICS/AIQS APC sessions in May.

Meanwhile, we have initiated the RISE program in collaboration with RICS, extending an invitation to interested individuals to participate. This program offers initial guidance and support from RICS to new enrollers embarking on their APC journey. Already, over 50 SLQSs have enrolled, and those interested can reach out via email to slqs.ae@gmail.com for additional information.

What’s next?

Our Summer APC program is set to commence in June 2024, with registration opening in early May 2024. Please stay connected with SLQS-UAE media updates for further details and information regarding registration.

SLQS-UAE is pleased to witness the growth of this APC program, with participants now joining from over 14 countries. We anticipate further expansion to enhance our services and better serve fellow SLQSs worldwide.

Enclosed is the summary of the success stories from SLQS-UAE's last three sessions, highlighting the achievement of 48 new MRICS-qualified SLQS members and 12 AIQS-qualified SLQS members. We take pride in announcing that there are now 60 Sri Lankan Chartered Quantity Surveyors actively contributing to the market who participated in SLQS-UAE's APC programs. Anticipating the enrollment of many more in the upcoming sessions, we remain committed to fostering professional growth and excellence.
