Outdoor Cricket Tournament – Season 26

On behalf of SLQSUAE Central Committee and Sports Subcommittee, I would like to Thank you for all the heartfelt wishes.

 

Firstly, our tournament Champions Spartans (Div 1), Sinha Maroons (Div 2) & United CC Titans (Div 3) and RunnerUp Teams AKPCE (Div 1), Hiru CC (Div 2) & Abu Dhabi Falcons (Div 3), and joined winners of 3rd and 4th place, teams Riqqa Boys and Cobra under Div 01. Congratulations for the Job Well done.

 

Secondly, I would like to thank all the teams for your commitment dedication and support towards successful completion of the biggest QS tournament in UAE so far. Special appreciation to both KSA teams showing up and making this tournament unique, you guys invested your time, money and all other efforts to come all the way from KSA.

 

There is no doubt that we had the time pressure throughout the tournament, 32 teams including 9 ladies teams, certainly tested us the organizers to the core, though we promised 6 overs in final and semi final matches, we couldn’t do it due to the time pressure came through earlier than expected, yet continued with 5 overs till the end. With the support of the captains of Riqqa Boys and Cobra who came forward to share the tittle of the Div 01 3rd and 4th place match, we were able to finish matches by 10pm and finish the presentation by 11:25pm.

 

We will recommend to the next committee who will handle this event next year to have a dedicated day for ladies tournament and for men’s tournament to finish the whole thing much earlier next year. All the photos will come across soon and will share them ASAP.

 

What’s next ? SLQSUAE indoor tournament, let’s keep the momentum going, as we are in the process of making necessary arrangements, stay tuned for more info.

 

Finally, I made this comment in the short speech as well, we may have challenged each other head to head during the tournament, but before the tournament and after the tournament WE ARE SRI LANKAN QUANTITY SURVEYORS never forget that we represent each other in-front of the world.
