Key Areas of Discussion:

Construction contractors sign contracts and invest in projects for earning profits. Contracting organizations hire Quantity Surveying professionals as Commercial Managers for their teams for managing the commercial operation of projects including monitoring, reporting, decision making, maintaining or improving profits.

It is important to understand the systematic way of recording costs, reporting costs, and way of improving the cash flows and profits by improving the efficiency of execution, agreeing with better contractual terms, facing temporary cash flow challenges etc. Quantity Surveyors should have this overall knowledge and understanding to perform successfully in their roles in contracting organizations.

Payment Procedure (For those who have not yet made the payments):

As described in our earlier emails on this subject, the charge for the CPD topic discussions (excluding for Q&A sessions, Mock Interviews and special workshop for IQSSL APCs) is AED 600 per attendee as a one time payment or three (3) equal installments.
Since all of the attendees have already made the first installment payment, please be kind enough to make the payment for,

  • Installment 02 – AED 200 – On or before 17 January 2020
  • Installment 03 – AED 200 – On or before 14 February 2020

SLQS highly encourage the attendees to make the payments via bank transfers since SLQS-UAE is not permitted by laws to handle cash at the event venues. We expect your understanding and your full co-operation in this regards.
