SLQS-UAE Involvement in special flignts
SLQS UAE has a good understanding of the desperation of some of its members who wish to travel back to our motherland during these difficult times.
Since there are several thousands of fellow countrymen who undergo extreme hardships, we believe it is not appropriate for SLQS-UAE to initiate repatriation solutions which will not be beneficial to the majority of the members.
Under these circumstances, SLQS-UAE did not opt on missions such as chartering flights. However not to jeopardize any sort of Evacuation flights to Sri Lanka, SLQS-UAE have kept silent on the use of its name and credibility without proper consent of the organization.
We take this opportunity to reiterate that SLQS-UAE was not involved in arranging chartered flights or any flights with special quarantine options, and are not initiated such missions at present. However we are continuously working to facilitate the repatriation service to our members with the help of the Sri Lankan embassy of UAE.
The individuals who wish to utilize such options are advised to be in contact with the Sri Lanka Diplomatic missions in UAE, or the organizers of such flights.
We wish all our members and their loved ones Safe and Secure times ahead.
